2017 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer makes a comeback after 25 years of absence in the market. The last time one of these beauties was produced was in 1991 after which it was replaced with the Grand Cherokee. This made it one of the models that has been in longest production in the US. It featured an iconic seven-slot grille, had that boxy shape of a SUV, a luxurious interior, which was unlike other 4 by 4 vehicles at the time, an independent front suspension made it more advanced coupled with the automatic gearbox and power steering. Let’s not forget the iconic woody sides that gave it a retro vibe. Based on speculation, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles intends to unveil this model as a competition to its long standing competitor, Land Rover. Here is what to expect in the 2017 Jeep Grand Wagoneer:

2017 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Review

As expected the body chassis will have to be of a semi-modular design in order to comfortably accommodate the three row seats. It is most likely to be a unibody chassis that will be rigid for the best driving experience on both on and off road. It is expected that the iconic seven-slot grille will be maintained with its forward-sloping vented hood. To protect the drivetrain components from off-road damage, the skid plates on the underbody are expected to be thick. For a good finish on the body, a sparkling paint job and chrome trim should put the Grand Wagoneer ahead of its competitors.

The interior 2017 Jeep Grand Wagoneer will feature a three-row seating arrangement with a possibility of massaging seats. The dashboard is likely to have a full touchscreen infotainment system, particularly Chrysler’s latest version of UConnect. In place of the analog gauges that graced the older models expect a TFT display. A sunroof is not out of the question either and is likely to be electrically controlled and possibly screens installed on the headrests to provide rear seat entertainment. Other features could include proximity sensors, both front and rear, automatic collision avoidance and airbags. This will also come with Jeep’s most advanced 4WD system allowing the driver to transverse various terrains without any difficulty.
