2016 Nissan Patrol will carry on with minor changes, since 2015 model gained couple of major design changes. New model year brings couple of improvements, basically related to cosmetic refreshment of the model. 2015 model year brought refreshment of the model, and Nissan Patrol gained completely remodeled front end of the vehicle. Grill is more preeminent, while bumpers and headlights rounded the whole picture. With LED headlights and new grill 2016 Nissan Patrol carries on its distinctive look. Beside the front end, Patrol also received new design of its wheels.

Trim levels remain unchanged, so we can still find 2016 Patrol available in XE, SE and LE versions. The model also gives the option between five and seven seats, which is a great thing since customers can choose per their own preferences. Interior offers a great number of features, including some high-tech such as 13-speakers BOSE Premium Audio system and 7-inch LCD screen.

Under the hood of the latest Patrol are placed two engines, only this time Nissan doesn’t offer diesel option. However the base and optional power units offer great performances, and ride is additionally upgraded with innovative tech solutions.

Base engine is a 5.6-liter V8 engine capable to deliver up to 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with a five- or six-speed automatic transmission that transfers the power from the engine to all four wheels.

Optional engine is the same one, 5.6-liter V8, but with power boosts that enhance the numbers and it offers output of 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. This version is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, which will influence the fuel economy, or its savings to be precise.

When it comes to rivals, 2016 Patrol will continue to compete with the same opponents as its predecessor. Primary opponent is Toyota Land Cruiser, while it also faces some other SUVs from its category, such as Lexus LX570, Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and potentially the Range Rover.

Since the 2015 model is not reveled yet, and it is scheduled for early 2015 debut, newest edition – latest Nissan Patrol will not be released before 2016. There is no official info about pricing specs, but the price tag should remain the same as for predecessor, which means that 2016 Patrol will carry on the price tag of approximately $45,000.
