Manufactured by Chrysler at the Belvidere plant in Illinois, the Jeep Compass is compact crossover SUV and has been around since 2007. Ever since it was produced, the sales of Jeep Compass have increased yearly. The main objective of the manufacturer this time around will be to enhance the 2016 Jeep Compass and adjust some details of specific markets so as to maintain its market position and attract more buyers. In 2016, Jeep Compass will be offered in 5 different trims; Sport, Altitude, Latitude, High Altitude and Limited FWD.

Externally the 2016 Jeep Compass will have only minor changes. It will have new acoustic laminate windows to minimize external noise interference. It will also have new bi-xenon projector headlights for better night time driving. The headlights will feature halogen lights and indicators, and are rectangular in shape. The front grille has been redesigned and the fog lights have been updated to give it a sportier look. The 2016 Compass is slightly longer than the previous model and lighter because of the lightweight materials used in its body. It will have 16” to 18” wheels.

In the interior, the 2016 Jeep Compass has improved features. It will have saddle brown perforated leather seats, the armrest and center console are upholstered using vinyl, and the instrument panel has been redesigned. The 2016 Compass will accommodate 5 passengers. Internal features include a leather steering wheel, 6.5 inches touchscreen, SiriusXM satellite Radio, air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, MP3, HDD, USB ports, CD player, navigation system, a 6 way adjustable driver’s seat, and panoramic sunroof. Safety features include parking assist, hill assist, anti-lock brakes, and chair-mounted side airbags.

The 2016 Compass will have two engine options. The first is a 2.0 liter inline-4 DOHC engine with an output of 160 HP and a torque of 140 lb-ft. This will be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed CVT automatic transmission. The fuel consumption is expected to be around 30 mpg for highway driving. The second engine option is a 2.4 liter Inline-4 World engine with an output of 172 HP and a torque of 165 lb-ft. The fuel consumption for this engine option will be 28 mpg for highway driving. The standard 2016 Jeep Compass will be a front wheel drive with all wheel drive as optional.

The 2016 Jeep Compass is likely to be released in the second half of 2015.

The price will depend on the trim model you want.

The Limited FWD is expected to go for about $27000, the High Altitude for $25 600, the Latitude for $25 000, the Altitude for $23 000 and the Sport for $21 000.
