2016 Infiniti QX60 News, Changes, Price

Infiniti, luxury division of Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan, originally presented its seven-passenger mid-size luxury crossover SUV back in 2012, under the name JX or JX35, as you prefer. However, a year later, in 2013, Infiniti officials decided to change its name to QX60, in order to make a line-up of SUVs with number which denoted the size of it. Considering that this model is around for four years now, the upcoming 2016 Infiniti QX60 should bring some novelties in its design.2016 Infiniti QX60 Front

As we said in brief introduction, new model year will probably mean the facelift for luxury QX60 SUV. Its changes shouldn’t be major, but we expect from its designers to make some modernization. Speaking of that, new model year will probably bring new shape of its headlights, re-styled front grill and few other changes which will make a difference in 2016 Infiniti QX60 look. Besides remodeling which is expected on the front end, and some minor tweaks on the rear, new QX60 will be available in couple of different paints, both inside and out.

Interior changes will include several upgrades. Starting with different trims and color shades, new QX60 should bring improved tech features. However, there will hardly be any dashboard redesigning since, those kinds of changes usually wait for a new generation, which is not yet on Infiniti’s schedule.

Under the hood of the 2016 Infiniti QX60, this luxury brand will not bring any news, at least according to latest info. The both regular and Hybrid variant of the model will continue to be available, without any significant upgrades. Base engine is a 3.5-liter V6 unit that delivers 265 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. It comes packed with a CVT and front-wheel drive as standard. All-wheel drive is available as optional for both regular QX60 and Hybrid model.

2016 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid comes with a supercharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine which is paired with an electric motor (15kW). This powertrain combination offers a total output of 250 horsepower and adapted CVT.

Fuel economy

2016 model year will not change the mpg numbers of this great SUV, so we can still expect 20-21 mpg in combined ride (depending on the drivetrain option). The hybrid variant is more efficient, which is no surprise. It delivers 26 mpg in combined ride, regardless of the drivetrain.
