2016 Infiniti QX30 Review, Price

The 2016 Infiniti QX30 seems to be a promising crossover that will seriously threat the competitors on the market. The new vehicle is an ideal combination between a futuristic yet elegant design and high performance under the hood. Thus, vehicle enthusiasts could discover they have a solid interest in this car, which is a converging point between numerous features. The compact crossover designed by Infinity has a platform shared with two other vehicles, the CLA and GLA class cars from Mercedes-Benz, although only the GLA is a crossover, the CLA being a compact sedan. However, although similar, the three vehicles aim to different markets and promise quite different things.

2016 Infiniti QX30 Review

The crossover element of the car is achieved in a number of ways. The overall SUV features are present in the construction blueprint, but there are a series of specific elements which make the difference. One of them is the lowered roof, which improves the aerodynamic aspect of the car and makes it sportier than a usual SUV. On top of this, there is also the overall bodywork which resembles that of a hatchback. However, the added ground clearance makes the vehicle more suited for various types of terrain.

The Q30 concept that was unveiled in 2013 at Frankfurt had a unique interior design, in which instead of the classic seats, passengers had the possibility to enjoy U-shaped frames. However, this design, although lighter and more modern, is probably not going to be featured in the 2016 Infiniti QX30, as the developers will rather aim for a conservative, five-seat design.

The shared design of the Infiniti QX30 and that of the Mercedes-Benz GLA is not just in terms of the platform. It seems that the engine of the 2016 Infiniti crossover is going to feature a 2-liter 4-cylinder design. With 320Nm of torque and 211 BHP. The engine is surely more than suited for a crossover that aims high, becoming even the diamond on Infiniti’s crown.

2016 Infiniti QX30 Release and price

The 2016 Infiniti QX30 has a quite bold design and its curves, unveiled at Geneva, are extremely promising for finesse enthusiasts. However, for some, it seems that the crossover isn’t actually designed to be used off-road. Although you might mistake the QX30 for a small hatchback, given its design, you should not be deceived by its appearance. As it packs quite a bit of power under the hood and it’s designed to perform well not only on tarmac, but on bumpy roads, as well. Its EST price is around $30,000.
