2016 GMC Yukon Interior, Price

With redesign made for previous model, 2016 GMC Yukon comes practically unchanged. Its news may include one or two new paint colors, but nothing more than that. Interior will stay the same, while features will be available as before. However, last year redesign really point out the best out of Yukon, and this large SUV is now one of the best ones offered in its category, looking at both price and offerings.

With great looking body, great towing capacities, and luxurious interior 2016 GMC Yukon is definitely on top of the list as one of the best large SUVs on the market. Its third row now folds into the floor, which is something this SUV offers from last year. Up until now, in order to gain that extra cargo room, you had to remove it. Beside these conveniences, new Yukon comes with numerous features, which are divided into three trim levels.

2016 Yukon comes available in SLE, SLT and Denali versions. Base, SLE, includes 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, parking sensors, rearview camera, heated and power adjustable mirrors, auto wipers, leather-wrapped steering wheel, tri-zone automatic A/C, remote start and access, Bluetooth connectivity (phone and audio) and OnStar. Beside this, GMC offers a lot of entertainment features, which, among others include an 8-inch touchscreen with IntelliLink interface and Bose sound system with 9 speakers.

As noticeable, new Yukon comes highly equipped even on its base trim. The other two offer even more, such as heated and ventilated seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, sunroof, rear entertainment system…

Under the hood of the 2016 GMC Yukon are placed the same engines found under the hood of its predecessor, and they come with only one description – power. GMC decided to offer two V8 engines, with different displacement and power outputs. However, the engines are packed with different trims, so in order to opt for the engine you like, you will have to go for a trim.

SLE and SLT trims are packed with 5.3-liter V8 unit which is capable to deliver up to 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It comes paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive as standard. Four-wheel drive is available as optional. Fuel economy is estimated at 16/23/18 mpg city/hwy/combined with RWD and with AWD it delivers a mile less on the highway.

2016 GMC Yukon Denali comes with a 6.2-liter V8 under its hood, which produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Transmission and drivetrain options are the same as for all other trims. Fuel economy rates are 15/21/17 mpg city/hwy/combined with RWD and a mile less in the city and in combined ride with AWD.

2016 Yukon will be available probably during the second half of this year, according to several sources, although there is no official word from the GMC. Its prices will not differ much, compared to its predecessor’s. This means we can expect base price to be around $50,000, while Denali model should start around $67,000.
