2016 GMC Terrain Changes, price, release, specs

General Motors doesn’t plan big redesign for 2016 GMC Terrain. In fact the new generation will probably be launched for 2017 model year, and this model year should bring slight refreshment and announcement for the upcoming changes. Its cousin, Chevy Equinox, with whom it shares its platform, is in on the same schedule. The design of the Terrain is showing its aging, so there is no surprise that GMC plans full redesign soon.  Changes which will be made for 2016 GMC Terrain include slightly revised exterior and upgraded interior.

2016 GMC Terrain Front

2016 GMC Terrain exterior and interior

2016 GMC Terrain exterior will suffer minor changes. Its front end will be upgraded but without any significant changes. Updated lighting technology and new exterior paint combined with few accents will make majority of changes. Besides that, GMC may decide to make some smaller revisions to both front and rear bumpers and fenders, but we cannot claim it for sure. American producer will hardly make any changes on front grill, but if they do, it will be small refreshment of the existing one, in order to make it more appealing and more modern than the current one.

Inside, GMC is preparing more than on the outside. In these types of facelifts, auto producers usually make bigger changes on interior of its vehicles, and GMC is no exception. Beside new set of features added to standard list of equipment, 2016 Terrain will feature higher quality of materials. Dash design will probably remain the same, with possibility for infotainment upgrade.

GMC will continue to offer the same trims, completely four of them, including SLE-1, SLE-2, SLT-1 and SLT-2. List of standards is massive, and some of its best features include OnStar with 4G LTE, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, rear view camera and numerous others.
