2016 Chevy Equinox will not be majorly redesigned for this model year. Its redesign was expected even earlier, but popular car manufacturer decided to wait and to prepare a big surprise, probably for 2017 model. Changes that will happen will include both styling and performance of the vehicle. Chevrolet will incorporate latest GM technology in order to deliver the best version of this popular crossover. In the meantime, 2016 Equinox will be slightly upgraded, and will announce the changes which we can expect from the new-generation.

What to expect from 2016 Chevy Equinox?

We already told you what not to expect, which is a major change. 2016 Chevy Equinox will continue to share the platform with GMC Terrain. Even though Terrain is also past its time for a redesign, these two models feature big success on the market, when it comes to their sales numbers. The main reason for constant delaying of its refreshments are those numbers, since they managed to “beat” their competitors, which were redesigned recently and offer more modern appearance and technologies. Equinox could fall into both compact and mid-size SUV category due to its dimensions and customers seems to love it.

However 2016 Chevy Equinox will not be unchanged. It will feature wider grille more dimensional, designed modeled on other vehicles from Chevy’s line-up. Headlights and front bumpers will also be slightly revised to circle the picture, and to add on the modern appearance of the latest Equinox.

When it comes to interior, we can expect some feature enhancements, which include both few additional ones on standard’s list as well as upgrade of the existing ones. As we mentioned seems like 2016 Chevy Equinox rivals do not stand on its path for popularity or customers. Honda CR-V, Ford Escape and Nissan Rogue are perhaps the closest rivals, considering the price, specs, and size, while they all offer the diversity and functionality which is the primary virtue for buyers from this segment.

The refreshed 2016 Equinox will see the light of the day during the second half of next year, 2015. Pricing will remain in the same range as before, which means new model will vary between $24,500 and $34,000.
