2016 Audi Q5 will bring several major changes, since popular crossover is starting its second generation with this model year. Audi will offer its 2016 Q5 with variety of engines. Two diesel power units and one petrol as well as hybrid variant will be available. Front wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available as optional.

Base engine is a 2.0-liter petrol turbo capable to deliver up to 245 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. Diesel options include 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder and 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6. For standard trims, Audi will offer these engines with output of 190horsepower/295lb-ft of torque and 272horsepower/443lb-ft of torque. According to some rumors, V6 power unit could deliver 354 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, since some sources indicated power boosts for 2016 Audi Q5.

However the hybrid versions, as well SQ5 and Q5 RS models will come with modified engines. 2016 Q5 Hybrid also known as Q5 e-tron Quattro will be made as a plug-in hybrid and will combine 2.0-liter turbo I-4 engine with 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque and a electric motor with 109 horsepower and 221 lb-ft. of torque.
