2016 Acura MDX Changes

From 2016 Acura MDX we can expect only minor changes, since popular Japanese brand released new generation MDX just recently, for 2014 model year. 2016 model year will bring few alterations mainly cosmetic, which will upgrade the existing model, but not stand out much. Acura’s MDX still comes available in only one trim, but with three package options, which define the level of equipment each variant comes with. Equipotent packages include Technology Package, Advanced and Entertainment. Technology package brings Acura Navi System with 3D view and AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic, 10-speakers Premium Audio System, voice recognition, blind spot information (BSI) system, keyless entry, Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Alert. Advance and Entertainment go a step forward providing more than Tech Pack and upgrading some of its offerings.

Engine and fuel economy remain unchanged. 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque is the only choice 2016 MDX buyers will find. 6-speed automatic transmission transfers the power of the engine to either front or all wheels.

New Acura MDX offers the same efficiency as previous model. Its fuel consumption is EPA-rated at 20/28/23 mpg city/hwy/combined with FWD, and 18/27/21 mpg with AWD.

Exact release date of the 2016 MDX is not known, but it will be launched sometime around mid-2015. Its price will range from $43,000 (approximately) up to around $57,000.
