From 2016 Acura MDX we can expect only minor changes, since popular Japanese brand released new generation MDX just recently, for 2014 model year. 2016 model year will bring few alterations mainly cosmetic, which will upgrade the existing model, but not stand out much. 2016 BMW X1 will be majorly redesigned, since it will feature the beginning of the second generation for this luxury compact crossover. Even though it looked unlikely, since the previous, 2015 model, came with numerous upgrades, German car producer will launch its new X1 with significant changes.  The prototype of the model was spotted on the streets during testing, and those spy shots confirmed some earlier speculations about X1’s redesign which includes platform change, and extensive body work.

General Motors doesn’t plan big redesign for 2016 GMC Terrain. In fact the new generation will probably be launched for 2017 model year, and this model year should bring slight refreshment and announcement for the upcoming changes. Its cousin, Chevy Equinox, with whom it shares its platform, is in on the same schedule. The design of the Terrain is showing its aging, so there is no surprise that GMC plans full redesign soon.  Changes which will be made for 2016 GMC Terrain include slightly revised exterior and upgraded interior.

2016 Buick Envision is an all-new crossover from American car producer. Buick launched its Envision in order to fulfill the gap between its small crossover Encore and full-size Enclave. Now, this mid-level luxury brand offer full line-up of SUVs. The model is based on the earlier shown Concept vehicle, which was presented back in 2011 and which announced the launch of the new SUV model. 2016 Envision for Chinese market is revealed earlier than the others, and, based on that, we can give you full specs about the model which will soon be available in the US.

This time, rumors about all-new Wrangler were fueled by some statements which came from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne, who started the tale about aluminum body of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. First he announced aluminum body back in May, and at this year Paris Auto Show, he once again confirmed the story.

The prototype of the redesigned Chrysler minivan was spotted on the streets, but it was hard to notice anything since it was heavily covered in camouflage. The other reason for low visibility of changes is the fact that this test mule is still in its early stages of development, and it will continue to change its look as we approach the date of its release.

2016 Volvo XC90 represent just second generation of the popular SUV made by Sweden auto producer. We said “just” since first generation lasted for 12 years, which is unusual even for European producers. However Volvo did make a decision to turn things around, and make significant amount of changes for new generation. 2016 Volvo XC90 will be fully redesigned, while its changes will include alterations on interior, exterior and under the hood.  Its strongest points were its safety and classic look, but the competitive category forced Volvo to make a difference.

2016 Lincoln MKX will make big debut next year and mark the beginning of the new generation. Lincoln already presented Concept crossover, which showed us what to expect from the latest, 2016 MKX. Earlier on, Ford presented its plan to make a major sales boost of Lincoln’s models. The plan is to triple the sales up to 300,000 units per year, by 2020. In order to complete this goal it Ford will add two models to Lincoln’s model line-up, and, additionally, the replacement for the MKS. The realization of the mentioned plan will cost the Ford Company around $2.5 billion.
